These Easy Protein Rice Krispie Treats are a healthier twist on the classic dessert, packed with protein and perfect for a quick snack or post-workout bite.

- 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Krispies and protein powder.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add the peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup). Microwave for 30-45 seconds until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and salt into the melted mixture.
- Pour the wet mixture over the Rice Krispies and protein powder. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips if using.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down firmly using a spatula or your hands.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until set.
- Cut into bars and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
- You can use any nut or seed butter in place of peanut butter.
- Adjust sweetness by using more or less honey/maple syrup.
- For a chocolate version, use chocolate protein powder.
