Description

These garlic butter chicken thighs are juicy, flavorful, and super easy to make. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, they’re cooked in one pan and packed with rich garlic and herb flavor.


Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 5 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

 

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for about 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook another 5 minutes.

  4. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the pan. Let the butter melt and spoon the mixture over the chicken.

  5. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 10–15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  6. Remove from heat and rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

  7. Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.


Notes

  • You can swap dried herbs for fresh if available.

  • Works great with boneless chicken thighs too—just adjust the cook time.

  • Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
