- 12 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds (or any nuts)
- 1 tablespoon sea salt flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Flatten the pitted dates and press them together on the sheet to form a solid rectangle or square base.
- Spread the peanut butter evenly over the date layer.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Pour and spread the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer.
- Sprinkle chopped almonds and sea salt flakes on top.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes or until firm.
- Once set, break or cut the bark into pieces and enjoy.
