Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet of onion soup mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) of cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup of chicken broth (optional for thinner sauce)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the ranch seasoning mix, onion soup mix, cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and butter until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and stir the sauce well. If the sauce is too thick, add chicken broth to reach desired consistency.
- Serve the shredded chicken with the sauce over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, you can add a little more cream cheese or use heavy cream instead of cream cheese.
- Serve with a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for 3-4 days.
