Description

A quick and comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts smothered in a rich, savory gravy. Perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy family meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon water (if using cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until smooth.
  5. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Optional: For thicker gravy, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the skillet and simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for juicier meat.
  • Add herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
