Description

A cheesy and flavorful casserole that combines all the delicious elements of tacos with the crunch of Doritos, perfect for a family dinner or potluck.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (9.75 oz) Nacho Cheese Doritos, lightly crushed
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, black beans, and sour cream. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the crushed Doritos on the bottom.
  6. Spread the beef mixture over the Doritos layer.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and the remaining Doritos.
  8. Sprinkle with green onions and olives if using.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  10. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
  • Add jalapeños for an extra kick.
  • Serve with lettuce, tomatoes, and extra sour cream if desired.
