Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter and olive oil. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the chicken and garlic butter.
  5. Pour in the reserved pasta water gradually, stirring to create a sauce that coats the pasta evenly.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and mix well until melted and combined.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
