Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Simmer until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  7. Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat well with the sauce.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
