Description
A quick and delicious fusion dessert combining the gooey sweetness of apple pie with the soft, spiced flavor of cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients
- 1 can (8 count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter.
- Separate the cinnamon rolls and press them flat to form disks. Use them to line the bottom and sides of the pie dish, pressing together to seal gaps.
- In a bowl, mix the apple pie filling with cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Pour the apple mixture into the cinnamon roll crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5–10 minutes.
- Drizzle the included icing over the warm pie before serving.
Notes
- You can chop the apples in the filling for easier slicing.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for a crunchy twist.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
