Ingredients
Scale
For the Pull-Apart Bread:
- 12 frozen dinner rolls
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons whole milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Thaw Rolls: Thaw 12 frozen dinner rolls by placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover them and leave at room temperature until they are soft enough to be rolled out.
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
- Flatten Rolls: Once thawed, flatten each roll to about ¼ inch thickness using your hands or a rolling pin.
- Coat in Butter Mixture: In a bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Dip each flattened roll into this butter mixture, coating both sides fully, then stack them on top of each other.
- Place in Loaf Pan: Transfer the stacked rolls sideways into the prepared loaf pan, fitting them snugly to fill the pan.
- Brush with Remaining Butter: Brush any leftover butter mixture evenly over the top of the stacked rolls in the pan.
- Rise: Cover the loaf pan and let the bread rise at room temperature for about 1 hour, or until the dough has risen nearly to the top of the pan.
- Bake: Bake the risen loaf in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the exposed dough is browned and the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C). Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before glazing.
- Make the Glaze: While the bread cools, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of whole milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Add an extra tablespoon of milk if needed to achieve a smooth, drizzle-able consistency.
- Glaze and Serve: Drizzle the glaze evenly over the cooled loaf. Serve immediately and enjoy the warm, gooey cinnamon pull-apart bread.
Notes
- Ensure the rolls are fully thawed and soft before flattening to prevent tearing.
- Use parchment paper on the baking sheet for easy cleanup when thawing the rolls.
- The glaze can be adjusted in thickness by adding more milk for a thinner glaze or more powdered sugar for a thicker one.
- Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
- Reheat gently in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm bread.
