Description

This Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread is a delightful and easy-to-make treat that combines soft dinner rolls coated in a buttery cinnamon sugar mixture, baked to golden perfection, and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. Perfect for breakfast or dessert, this pull-apart bread is as fun to eat as it is delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pull-Apart Bread:

  • 12 frozen dinner rolls
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Thaw Rolls: Thaw 12 frozen dinner rolls by placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover them and leave at room temperature until they are soft enough to be rolled out.
  2. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Flatten Rolls: Once thawed, flatten each roll to about ¼ inch thickness using your hands or a rolling pin.
  4. Coat in Butter Mixture: In a bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Dip each flattened roll into this butter mixture, coating both sides fully, then stack them on top of each other.
  5. Place in Loaf Pan: Transfer the stacked rolls sideways into the prepared loaf pan, fitting them snugly to fill the pan.
  6. Brush with Remaining Butter: Brush any leftover butter mixture evenly over the top of the stacked rolls in the pan.
  7. Rise: Cover the loaf pan and let the bread rise at room temperature for about 1 hour, or until the dough has risen nearly to the top of the pan.
  8. Bake: Bake the risen loaf in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the exposed dough is browned and the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C). Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before glazing.
  9. Make the Glaze: While the bread cools, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of whole milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Add an extra tablespoon of milk if needed to achieve a smooth, drizzle-able consistency.
  10. Glaze and Serve: Drizzle the glaze evenly over the cooled loaf. Serve immediately and enjoy the warm, gooey cinnamon pull-apart bread.

Notes

  • Ensure the rolls are fully thawed and soft before flattening to prevent tearing.
  • Use parchment paper on the baking sheet for easy cleanup when thawing the rolls.
  • The glaze can be adjusted in thickness by adding more milk for a thinner glaze or more powdered sugar for a thicker one.
  • Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
  • Reheat gently in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm bread.
