Description

Rich, creamy, and indulgent chocolate truffles made with just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for gifting or enjoying as a decadent treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder, for coating
  • Optional: chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or melted chocolate for coating

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not boil.
  2. Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Stir the mixture gently until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Add butter and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours or until the mixture is firm enough to scoop.
  6. Using a small spoon or melon baller, scoop out small portions and roll them into balls using your hands.
  7. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or your desired coating.
  8. Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • You can use dark, milk, or white chocolate depending on your preference.
  • Add a splash of liqueur like Baileys or Grand Marnier for a flavor twist.
  • Work quickly when shaping truffles to prevent them from melting in your hands.
