These Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats are a delicious no-bake dessert made with crispy rice cereal, marshmallows, and rich chocolate for a fun and easy sweet treat.

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 10 oz mini marshmallows
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it down evenly using a greased spatula or wax paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the Rice Krispie mixture and spread evenly.
- Allow to cool at room temperature until the chocolate is set, or refrigerate for quicker setting.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Use parchment paper for easy removal and clean-up.
- Try adding peanut butter to the melted marshmallow mixture for extra flavor.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
