Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 8 breaded chicken fingers (frozen Tyson crispy chicken strips recommended)
- 8 slices mozzarella cheese (each slice cut in half)
- 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup spaghetti sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC) to prepare for baking the crescent rolls.
- Prepare Crescent Rolls: Separate the crescent roll dough into 8 individual triangles. Pour the spaghetti sauce into a bowl or small saucepan for easier dipping.
- Assemble Rolls: Place one half slice of mozzarella cheese on each crescent roll triangle. Dip one chicken finger into the spaghetti sauce, coating it well, then place it on top of the mozzarella cheese on the crescent dough. Carefully roll up each crescent starting from the wide end, enclosing the chicken finger and cheese. Place the rolls seam-side down on a cookie sheet. Repeat this process for all chicken fingers and crescent dough triangles.
- Season and Bake First Round: Sprinkle garlic powder evenly over each assembled crescent roll. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until the rolls begin to turn golden and the dough is cooked through.
- Add Cheese and Final Bake: Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and top each crescent roll with the remaining half slice of mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- If using fresh chicken fingers instead of frozen, ensure they are fully cooked before assembling.
- Feel free to add Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes to the rolls for extra flavor.
- Serve warm with extra spaghetti sauce for dipping.
- For a lower-fat version, use reduced-fat mozzarella cheese and bake chicken fingers instead of frying.
