Description
This Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatloaf combines the classic flavors of ham, Swiss cheese, and seasoned ground chicken into a comforting, cheesy, and savory twist on traditional meatloaf.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground chicken
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 oz deli ham, chopped
- 6 oz Swiss cheese, chopped or shredded
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add ground chicken, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard. Mix until combined.
- Fold in chopped ham and Swiss cheese.
- Transfer mixture to prepared loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the meatloaf is cooked through.
- Substitute mozzarella or provolone if Swiss cheese is unavailable.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
