Description

A creamy, cheesy, and comforting baked dish combining the flavors of classic Chicken Cordon Bleu with the ease of a casserole.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced ham, and half of the Swiss cheese.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
  4. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken and ham mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining Swiss cheese.
  7. In a small bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter, then sprinkle over the casserole.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Try adding a splash of milk if you prefer a thinner sauce.
  • Substitute Swiss with mozzarella or provolone if preferred.
