Description

A hearty and flavorful dish featuring cheesy ranch-seasoned potatoes combined with smoky sausage, perfect for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes, quartered
  • 14 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the quartered potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  4. Add the sliced smoked sausage to the baking sheet and roast for another 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and tender.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes and sausage, then return to the oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter version.
  • Try adding bell peppers or onions for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • This dish can also be made in a skillet on the stovetop.
