Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Broil for 1-2 minutes for a golden top, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use a mix of cheeses like cheddar or provolone for a flavor twist.
- Fresh garlic provides the best flavor, but garlic powder can be used in a pinch.
