Description

A warm and satisfying sandwich featuring juicy chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheese—perfect for a quick and delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole-grain bread
  • 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced (about 4 oz)
  • ½ ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Butter or olive oil for grilling
  • Optional: a few spinach leaves or tomato slices


Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one slice of bread and Dijon mustard on the other.
  3. On the mayo side, layer the sliced chicken breast evenly.
  4. Add the avocado slices on top of the chicken.
  5. Place the cheese slices over the avocado (add spinach or tomato here if using).
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, mustard side down.
  7. Butter the outside of both slices of bread (or brush with olive oil).
  8. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.
