Description

A healthy and gluten-free alternative to traditional pizza crust, made with cauliflower, cheese, and herbs. Perfect for low-carb diets.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place cauliflower florets in a food processor and pulse until finely ground.
  3. Transfer the cauliflower to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 5-6 minutes, then let it cool.
  4. Place the cooled cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower, Parmesan, mozzarella, salt, oregano, garlic powder, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  6. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape into a pizza crust about 1/4-inch thick.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and firm.
  8. Remove from oven, add desired toppings, and return to oven for another 5-10 minutes.

Notes

  • Ensure the cauliflower is well-drained to avoid a soggy crust.
  • You can add herbs like basil or thyme for extra flavor.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking.
