Description

These Caramel Chocolate Chip Brownies are rich, fudgy, and loaded with gooey caramel and melty chocolate chips. They’re the perfect treat when you’re craving something sweet, indulgent, and easy to whip up. Great for parties, potlucks, or just because!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

  • Optional: sea salt flakes for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar until smooth.

  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, stirring until well combined.

  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined—don’t overmix.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

  7. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter, then spoon the remaining brownie batter on top and gently spread it out.

  8. Swirl a little more caramel on top if desired.

  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.

  10. Let the brownies cool before slicing. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes if using.

Notes

  • For a deeper caramel flavor, use salted caramel sauce.

  • You can also mix some caramel chips into the batter for extra caramel goodness.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
