Description

A flavorful and spicy Cajun Shrimp Pasta made with juicy shrimp, creamy sauce, and a kick of Cajun seasoning, perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning to coat evenly.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter, garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese, stir until melted and sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use more or less Cajun seasoning to adjust the heat level.
  • You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra veggies.
