A flavorful and spicy Cajun Shrimp Pasta made with juicy shrimp, creamy sauce, and a kick of Cajun seasoning, perfect for a quick dinner.

- 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning to coat evenly.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter, garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add Parmesan cheese, stir until melted and sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- Use more or less Cajun seasoning to adjust the heat level.
- You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
- Add mushrooms or spinach for extra veggies.
