- 2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
- 4 cups cold milk
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Bake the yellow cake according to package instructions. Let cool completely, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Fold in the whipped topping.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the heavy cream until hot but not boiling. Pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth to make ganache.
- In a large trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes, half of the pudding mixture, and drizzle with chocolate ganache.
- Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients. Finish with a drizzle of ganache on top.
