- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add more oil if needed, then sauté the garlic, onions, and bell peppers until slightly tender.
- Return the chicken to the pan and add sugar, freshly ground black pepper, and water. Stir to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, adjusting salt to taste.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, and serve hot with rice.
