Description
BBQ Pulled Chicken Sliders are delicious, juicy, and flavorful sandwiches made with tender shredded chicken coated in smoky barbecue sauce, served on soft slider buns. Perfect for a casual gathering or party.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 slider buns
- Coleslaw (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook the chicken in the skillet for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
- Shred the chicken using two forks or a hand mixer.
- In the same skillet, add the BBQ sauce and shredded chicken. Stir to combine, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Toast the slider buns lightly in the skillet or oven.
- Assemble the sliders by placing a generous amount of pulled chicken on each bun. Top with coleslaw if desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Feel free to use store-bought BBQ sauce or homemade sauce.
- Coleslaw adds a nice crunch and freshness, but it’s optional.
- For spicier sliders, add some hot sauce or jalapeños to the pulled chicken.
- If you prefer slow cooking, you can make this in a slow cooker by cooking the chicken on low for 4-6 hours with BBQ sauce and then shredding it.
