Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup basil pesto
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread basil pesto evenly over each chicken breast.
- Top each piece with sliced tomatoes and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
