Description

A no-bake dessert that combines all the flavors of a classic banana split into a delicious layered cake.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, drained and halved
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan to form a crust.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
  3. Layer the drained crushed pineapple over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the pineapple.
  5. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the banana layer.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the whipped topping.
  7. Place halved maraschino cherries on top as decoration.
  8. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh, firm bananas to prevent browning and sogginess.
  • For a nut-free version, omit the walnuts or replace with crushed pretzels.
  • Best served chilled for a refreshing treat.
