Description

Banana Pudding Pops are a delicious and creamy frozen treat that combines the classic flavors of banana pudding with the convenience of popsicles. Made with ripe bananas, instant vanilla pudding mix, and a touch of sweetened condensed milk, these pops are perfect for a refreshing summer dessert. Adding crushed vanilla wafers gives a delightful texture, while the optional whipped topping makes them extra creamy.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup crushed vanilla wafer cookies

Optional Ingredients

  • ¼ cup whipped topping (for blending or topping)
  • Whole or crushed vanilla wafers for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare pudding base: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients: Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  3. Add texture: Gently fold in the crushed vanilla wafers to add a pleasant crunch.
  4. Optional creaminess: For a creamier texture, fold in the whipped topping or reserve it for topping after freezing.
  5. Fill molds: Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving some space at the top for expansion.
  6. Insert sticks and freeze: Place popsicle sticks into each mold and freeze for at least 6 hours or until fully set.
  7. Serve: To release the pops, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds and garnish with extra crushed vanilla wafers if desired.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, substitute almond milk and use a dairy-free pudding mix.
  • Swirl in peanut butter or chocolate syrup before freezing for flavor variations.
  • Ensure bananas are ripe for the best natural sweetness.
  • Whipped topping is optional but adds extra creaminess.
