Description

This Banana Blueberry Smoothie is a delicious and nutritious blend of ripe banana, fresh or frozen blueberries, creamy Greek yogurt, and milk. It’s a quick and easy breakfast or snack option that’s naturally sweetened and packed with antioxidants and protein. Optional additions like honey, vanilla extract, and ice make it customizable to your taste and texture preferences.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

Dairy & Liquids

  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice (if using fresh fruit)

Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients to Blender: Place the banana, blueberries, Greek yogurt, milk, and optional honey and vanilla extract into a blender.
  2. Blend Smooth: Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk and blend again for desired consistency.
  3. Add Ice: If using fresh fruit, add the ice and blend again until well combined and chilled.
  4. Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy right away for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For extra nutrition, add a tablespoon of chia seeds, flaxseed, or a handful of spinach to the blender.
  • Freezing the banana beforehand results in a thicker and colder smoothie.
