Description

A flavorful baked salmon with a tangy orange glaze, perfect for a healthy dinner option.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Orange zest, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the fillets with olive oil.
  5. Pour the orange glaze over the salmon fillets, reserving a little glaze for later.
  6. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven and brush with the reserved glaze.
  8. Garnish with fresh orange zest and serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • For a bit of spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
  • Pair with a side of steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
